Both Biden and Trump Failed at the Thursday Night Debate
So why is the Trump cult ecstatic while Dems are allegedly looking for a new candidate?
I finally got around to watching the presidential debate that took place last Thursday evening. Here’s what went through my mind right afterwards: Can’t Trump ever stop lying?; and I wish Biden had been clearer, more accurate, and more forceful.
To me the very nature and purpose of a presidential debate should be scrupulous honesty and accuracy, giving your best performance because so much is at stake, and answering questions in a meaningful and clear way — all to help people choose.
Like I said, both Biden and Trump failed the other night — for different reasons that will appear in a minute — so I just couldn’t understand why Biden was painted as pathetic while Trump was clapped on the back.
Maybe my own idea of what a presidential debate should be was flawed?
So, to check out that notion, I had to start looking around for some input. Naturally, I ran across many articles taking one side or the other, or hand-wringing, or doom-saying.
