Donald J. Trump: First Among His Betters?

You may have heard the term “first among equals.” For instance, orthodox Catholicism for a time considered Peter and his successors (i.e, the popes) Primus inter pares, or first among equals.
And for a time, the Roman “consul” was viewed in the same way until the nonsense about the divinity of Caesar, who usually found a way to be consul, came about.
I say Donald Trump thinks he is first among his betters — the 44 presidents who came before him, and at least the one who replaced him.
And oddly, he seems to think he’s more equal — better and with more rights — than everyone else.
Let’s review:
- First president to be impeached twice,
- First president to refuse to concede a landslide (his electoral college loss in 2020 was the exact reverse of his “landslide” win over Hillary Clinton in 2016) loss in a free and fair election — even with his own AG telling him he lost and after losing 60+ lawsuits alleging widespread fraud but including no evidence of fraud,
- First president to deny the peaceful transfer of power to the next president, and
- First president to incite an insurrection (as the last stage in a multi-part conspiracy) to subvert…
