Well, folks, Trump was at it again. Not a huge surprise. It seems he simply must keep pushing and pushing the envelope.

His latest envelope abuse was at a so-called Believers Summit in West Palm Beach, Florida. It’s all over the internet, but here’s an article from The Independent (via MSN), and here’s the quote in question from that article:

Christians, get out and vote, just this time. You won’t have to do it anymore … You got to get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good you’re not going to have to vote.

The last sentence is stunning, and truth-revealing, so it bears emphasizing.

We’ll have fixed it so good you’re not going to have to vote.

As anyone with half a brain would expect, such a quote would prompt 1) criticism and 2) an immediate “excuse” and “explanation” from the Trump campaign. As to the second expectation: Again, from the same article (link in original left intact):

Trump ‘was talking about uniting this country and bringing prosperity to every American, as opposed to the divisive political environment that has sowed…
