In a recent article on another topic, I told you this was coming. Here’s my take on whether what happened in Butler, PA on July 13th was really an attempt to assassinate Donald Trump.

So, let me be very clear right up front that I am not a conspiracy-theory kind of guy. Having been trained in both law and science (therefore respectful of the various permutations of Occam’s postulate), I am not easily misled … even when, as seems to happen fairly often these days, there are people actually trying to mislead me.

Although I’m not a conspiracy-theorist, plenty of other folks are — so let me start by running through several questionable, if not totally silly, things knocking about out there, courtesy of a recent article right here on Medium.

And let me say that while I don’t agree with The Mystery Digger’s reasoning on one particular point (see below), the article did a solid job outlining some of the BS and showing how it is BS.

Conspiracy theory №1: The event was staged by the Trump campaign for political gain
