Trump: Good Golly Miss Molly!
Molly Michael, ‘Trump Employee №2’ in the Mar-a-Lago case, recalls Trump’s attempted use of The Force
--
In only my second article on Medium, way back in October 2020, I published a tongue-in-cheek piece suggesting that Donald Trump was the real Last Jedi.
I was poking fun at his hand gestures and how he somehow got people to believe total B.S., likening it to a scene from Star Wars with Obi Wan and Luke outside Mos Eisley spaceport.
Remember that iconic scene? If you’re not a Star Wars fan, just skip to the 57 second mark.
Anyways, some very recent reporting, originally by ABC News, about Donald Trump and Molly Michael (his former executive assistant) recalled my own old article — and also The Force with its effect on the weak-minded — to my mind.
Unfortunately for Donald Trump, there appear to have been quite a few people in his orbit who weren’t really weak-minded. IT Manager Yucil Taveras (Trump Employee №4 in the Mar-a-Lago indictment) was one with his wits about him: He fired his Trump-aligned lawyer, and flipped on Trump, leading directly to the Superseding Indictment.
And now we learn about Molly Michael, who ABC has identified as Trump Employee №2.
Here’s a fun headline and kicker:
That sounds pretty bad, and it is. But it gets worse — or better from the prosecution’s viewpoint — (original links left intact, bold emphasis is mine):
The sources said Michael also told federal investigators that last year she grew increasingly concerned with how Trump handled recurring requests from the National Archives for the return of all government documents being kept in boxes at Mar-a-Lago — and she felt that Trump’s claims about it at the time would be easy to disprove, according to the sources.
Miss Molly was worried, and as it turns out, with good cause. Imagine the impact on her worry level when this happened:
Sources said that after Trump heard the FBI wanted to interview Michael last year, Trump allegedly told her, ‘You don’t know anything about the boxes.’
Try to picture it:
